| Name: Lisica Grey Nickname: Fox (a childhood nickname used by close friends and family) Gender: Female Age: 17 Trainer Type: Specialist in blade-wielding Pokemon. However, she will catch and train any Pokemon with some sort of ailment or handicap, to prove that they're just as good as others. Physical Appearance: - Spoiler:
In means of wardrobe, Lisica will vary her outfit to the occasion. She doesn't have a million different articles of clothing like some girls, but she does like to be prepared for anything that may come up. What she's wearing in the image is her typical travel attire, but she'll phone her mom to send one of her outfits if the need arises for warmer, fancier, ect. clothing.Personality: Lisica is a calm, calculating person who prides on rarely making mistakes. That being said, she does slip up on occasion, and will usually play up her skills in a competitive sense, leading to her becoming flustered and irritated when her bravado doesn't shine through. She likes to think she knows many things, and when it comes to Pokemon and battling, she does. She's always had a preference for the warrior-like blade wielding Pokemon she's researched, and sees her 'hidden self' within them. If there's one thing Lisica loathes beyond all others, it would be trainers who cast aside Pokemon for being weak or different. She had experienced first-hand what it did to a Pokemon, and she will stop at nothing to stop it from happening again. Any Pokemon she sees that isn't 'normal' and has some sort of handicap or ailment, she'll catch and train to prove that they still can be great, even with an obstacle to overcome. Regardless of the Pokemon or its situation, she's kind to and loves them all, but she's choosy with what she catches and brings along with her. If a Pokemon ever needs a good home, she'll find it one. History: - Lisica's Tale:
Lisica rubbed her tired eyes and slowly blinked them awake. The opened, then closed, trying to remain that way until she forced them open once more. This cycle continued for a few minutes until her mother's cry of "breakfast," rang through to the hallway and into her room. Looking around her small bedroom for her slippers, she spotted them and hastily rolled from the bed onto the floor next to them. Slipping the shoes onto her feet, she bound quickly down stairs to follow the keen scent of bacon that managed to arouse her from her sleepy daze.
"Are you excited for today?" Lisica's mother asked after she settled down at the table and served breakfast. This was met by the blank stare and silence not usually Lisica's forte. She blinked a couple times, and a brief flicker of recognition went past her mind, but she couldn't grasp just what was special about this day because of her side-tracked, tired mind.
Her mom, with a wry smile, turned and tapped the calendar behind her, right at the date circled in red, the current date. Lisica squinted to read just what was circled, and with a start, she quickly stood up from the table and bound toward the door in a panic. "I'm going to be late to Professor Juniper's!" It was the day she would officially become a trainer, having filled out all of the necessary paperwork the prior day in order to get her Pokemon this day. Sure, leaving the time she did, she'd still be 5 minutes early, but in her book, it meant late. Her mom's chuckle followed her as she slammed the front door behind her in her rush toward the Pokemon Center, where Unova's Professor was scheduled to meet her and a few other Nimbasa youths to give them their first Pokemon. She was one of the older trainers scheduled to receive one, but she wanted to graduate school before she set off on her journey.
Huffing and out of breath, Lisica managed to reach the Pokemon Center at the same time a tall, dark haired boy did. He looked to be about her age, perhaps he too wanted to finish with his schooling like she, and had one hand in his pocket. As he entered, he cut in front of Lisica without even acknowledging her presence. She took a deep breath and ignored his rude behavior. If it weren't for him, she would have had first pick on her starter, but there were many to choose, and one rude boy wasn't about to ruin her day.
Once Professor Juniper arrived with two lab assistants in tow, she smiled at the small group of newly started trainers that now stood gathered in the lounge of the Pokemon Center, and she took out the carrying container for the starters. Lisica's eyes widened as she took in the sight of it, as did most of the group's. She managed to sneak a glance toward the rude teen who had cut her off, and realized he was standing back, perhaps only spectating and not actually receiving a Pokemon.
Once all three of the first selection of starters' Pokeballs were properly placed, one of the assistants released the Pokemon from within. Standing in front of Lisica were Snivy, Oshawott, and Tepig, and her eyes immediately went to the little water type. Though, as she met the Pokemon's eyes... it oddly didn't return her gaze. In fact, it seemed down hearten and unaware of what was happening. While the other two Pokemon romped around and showed off to try and attract Lisica's attention, the Oshawott simply sat there, staring at the blank wall as if something was there that no one else could see. It was then when Lisica noticed the abnormal, icy blue of the Pokemon's eyes. It was blind.
She stared, transfixed at the Pokemon, dumbfounded at the thought of a Pokemon that couldn't see. Sure, there were blind people, but Pokemon? She had never heard of anything like it. Professor Juniper gave a small sort of 'hem' to urge Lisica along on her choice, and without even thinking, Lisica knelt down to the Oshawott's level, placed a gentle hand on her head, and picked up the Pokeball next to her, the one with the small water droplet etched upon it. "I choose you." she murmured, tapping the ball to the Oshawott's head and sending her back inside before placing the ball on her new trainer belt. "And I'll call you Conscia." She stepped back to allow the other trainers their picks, feeling the strange boy's unapproving glare on the back of her head. She ignored it.
After Professor Juniper bid her farewell and exited with the lab assistants, one of which paused and looked toward Lisica, as if they were going to say something but changed their mind, rushing out the door to catch up with the others. Lisica exited shortly after, and could hear footsteps at her heel. Ignoring whoever was following, she started to head home, that is, until she was cut off. Again. By the same teen, at that.
He had a strange glint in his eye, a mixture of curiosity and outrage. He glared toward the new Pokeball nestled safely in Lisica's belt, and crossed his arms, he was very unpleasant, and almost radiated anger. "Why did you choose that worthless Pokemon?" he spat, "I saw it and nearly wanted to strangle Professor Juniper for trying to give out something as weak as that. And then you have to pick it? You're never going to get anywhere as a trainer with that thing wearing you down."
Lisica bit back a retort, deciding not to fuel such a rampant fire. "Last I checked," she muttered, "what I do is none of your business. I don't even know you." She tried to walk past him.
"Taking care of weak Pokemon is my business," he replied, blocking Lisica's path. "I can't stand seeing them around, acting like they'll ever have a shot at being anything."
Lisica couldn't help it any more, she ground her teeth in frustration, and unlatched Conscia's Pokeball. "We'll see who's the weak one," she growled, "I challenge you to a battle."
"Heh, this will be easy," he smirked, "I bet your pathetic excuse for a Pokemon couldn't land a single hit on my Scyther." He took a Pokeball off his own belt, and released the Scyther from within. "It won't be the first time we've taught idiotic trainers like you a lesson. Choosing a Pokemon that can't even see, I don't know how stupid you actually are."
Now seething, Lisica gripped Conscia's ball, and released her newly acquired Oshawott, who stood glancing blankly past the Scyther, but instinctively grabbing her scallop. She seemed well aware of the challenge that was exchanged, and she stood in a battle stance. Sure, that stance wasn't entirely facing Scyther, but it was a stance none of the less.
Without hesitation, the Scyther lunged toward Conscia, easily landing a hit on her, who was taken entirely by surprise. This continued, Conscia failing to land a hit or even locating Scyther, and Scyther, who mercilessly kept landing blows to the almost helpless Oshawott. With a cry, Conscia fell to her knees. She was on her last breath, and could barely stay conscious, when her eyes widened as something changed within her. Keeping almost deathly still as Scyther approached for his final blow, Lisica could see her Pokemon's hand clutch the scallop tightly, as if she had planned something.
Suddenly, as the Scyther neared Conscia, she turned with her scallop and met his blade with it in equal force, sending a tremble through the mantis Pokemon's body. Along with the tremble, a loud 'crack' sounded through the area as the force of the blow caused a shard of the Scyther's blade to crack and dislodge from the rest. The scallop had met its weak point and shattered the attacking blade.
Without a word, the Scyther's trainer returned the injured Pokemon before pulling his arm back and throwing it as far as he could away from himself, to the shock and dismay of Lisica. The teen turned and walked away, muttering about how his Pokemon had become weak, and disappeared without a second look toward the now abandoned Pokeball.
Without hesitation, Lisica scooped Conscia into her arms and ran to the Pokeball the boy had throne. She picked it up, and added it to her own belt. It wasn't the Scyther's fault that his trainer had been such a prick. She'd give him another chance, seeing that no one else probably would.
Turning toward the Pokemon Center, she started to walk toward it to help both of her newly gained Pokemon recover. Well, she thought, that's one way to start a journey.
