To Conquer the Unova League: Virbank

Today's the day, Aidan thought. The day I begin my quest to become the strongest Pokemon Trainer in the world.
The teenager was currently walking back from a visit to Floccessy Town to the Virbank City Gym to challenge the Gym Leader, Roxie. After he beat her, he planned on taking a boat to Castelia City, and from there heading around the Unova Region. First, however, he had to defeat Roxie.
Aidan took out a Poke Ball and released his partner, Bagon. The small blue Dragon Type Pokemon was a lot like her trainer, and was just as eager to battle Roxie.
"How about we warm up a bit, and maybe find a new friend?" Aidan asked his Pokemon.
Bagon nodded in response, staring intently into the shadow of a tree. She thought she could detect another Pokemon's presence, but wasn't sure where.

???/ Lvl ???/ Gender-???/ ??? hits left.

As the Bagon stared into the shadows something moved. The sound was very faint but could still be heard.

"Careful now, Bagon..." Aidan cautioned. "Our opponent is very near."
He looked closer into the shadows until he thought he saw something. "Bagon, use Leer!" he commanded.
Bagon responded by glaring with glowing eyes into the shadow, hoping to reveal whatever was in there.

The pokemon shiverd before jumping out. It was a a small rat pokemon,Patrat. The Pokemon the retaliated with its own leer.

Patrat/ 4/ Male 4 hits left

"A Patrat." Aidan noticed. He recognized the fairly common species of Pokemon, having trained against them in the past. He knew exactly what to do. "Bagon, use Hydro Pump!" Aidan shouted.
The small blue dragon jumped into the air before shooting a powerful jet of water at the Patrat, hoping to knock it out.

Patrat whimpered ad it was hit and knocked into a tree. The Pokemon layed there for a while before getting up. It ran to use tackle.

Aidan blinked in surprise. Normally it just took a single attack from Bagon to knock a Patrat out. "Interesting..." he murmured. "Bagon, lets switch tactics! Use Bite!"
Bagon had also noticed the Patrat's resilience, and immediately moved into action. If the Normal type Pokemon was knocked out by this hit, it would give experience to Bagon, and if not, it would make a powerful new team member.

When Patrat was bitten it took extra damage, a critical hit. The pokemon yowled,and tried to get out of Bagons grasp. The pokemon eventually stopped, it has become tired. Now would be the perfect chance to catch the Pokemon.

"Alright!" Aidan cheered his Pokemon. He took out an empty Poke Ball and threw it at the Patrat, hoping to catch it.

The pokeball shook once, twice, three times before a "click"sound allowed the trainer to know it was caught.

Patrat was caught would you like to name him?

(No thanks)

Aidan broke out into a huge grin. "Alright, we caught a Patrat!" he said excitedly to Bagon. Even after the beating it had just received, the rat Pokemon managed to give Bagon and Aidan a weak smile.
"Oh, yeah...let's heal you up, ok?" Aidan suggested, getting a nod from both Bagon and Patrat.

Later, after he had healed up his Pokemon, Aidan stepped into the Virbank Gym. He looked around the stage area for the Gym Leader, Roxie. "Hey Roxie!" Aidan called out. "I'm here to challenge you!"

Roxie stopped playing her guitar and looked up at Aiden. "Oh really, well then let's get this part started"she siad before asking him how many Pokemon he had with him.

"I will use two Pokemon in this battle. My first one will be..." Here he took a dramatic pause and grabbed a Poke Ball out of his pocket. He threw the Poke Ball, before continuing, "Patrat!"
The brown rat Pokemon, having been fully restored at the Pokemon Center, looked pumped and ready to battle.

Roxie smiled."Then,I, will roll with two too"she said. "Come on and rock Koffing"she said as her Koffing flew onto the small battle field.

Aidan smiled back at the Gym Leader. "Alright Patrat, lets do this! Start off with a Leer and Tackle combo!"
Patrat glared at the floating Koffing, lowering its defense, then ran at it with a Tackle, hoping to deal some damage.

Roxie smiled unfazed by leer. "Gyro Ball"she said and Koffing started spinning before launching itself at Patrat.

Koffing/ Female/ 15 7 hits left

Aidan grimaced slightly as the Gyro Ball attack narrowly missed. He knew that this was a Gym Leader he was facing, so the battle would naturally be difficult. "Patrat, use Tackle again!" Aidan commanded, and the brown rodent Pokemon responded, rushing at Koffing again.

(In the rules it states that you must tell how your pokemon dodged the attack not simply say it missed, thus is just a warning and next time I will not post until it if fixed)

"Again"Roxie called before playing a few notes on her guitar. Koffing started spinning again and flew at Patrat again.

Koffing/ Female/ 15 7 hits left

(Ummm...not trying to be rude, but you're doing the same thing....but ok)

Patrat nimbly dodged the incoming attack again. As the Koffing went spinning past, Patrat went chasing after the spinning Poison type Pokemon, using Tackle yet again.

(Sorry should be a bit more specific)

Koofing was taken by surprise and hit by tackle. "Now Gyro ball again"Roxie cheered as Koffing spun and shot itself at Patrat.

(No problem)

Patrat again attempted to dodge, but couldn't get out of the way fast enough and got hit. It wasn't enough to take out the brown rodent Pokemon, however, and it charged ahead, using another Tackle.

Koffing was hit again the time flying back a bit. "Smog"called Roxie again playing a few notes. Koffing the created a purpled smog sending it at Patrat.

Patrat again nimbly dodged the attack, but the edge of the attack hit it, dealing some more damage. Aidan knew that it couldn't last much longer, but also knew that there would be no way it would give up. "Keep Tackling it!" he shouted. Patrat responded by attempting to slam into Koffing once more

Roxie smiled."Now smog while he is running" she called. Koffing shot a purple fog again at him.

Patrat went right through the smog, taking serious damage. It still wasn't finished, however, and it closed the gap between itself and Koffing, hoping to take it out before it fainted.
